Mt. McKinley
Mt. McKinley is 20,320 feet tall, or 6194 meters tall. It is the highest point in the United States. Mt. McKinley is also one of the coldest mountains in the world besides the Antarctic. Fierce winds penetrate the peak daily and nightly. The combination of high latitude, great height and horrible weather are very rare, and that's what so unique about Mt. McKinley.
Wonder lake
Created by glaciers, Wonder Lake is absolutely beautiful. It is a very pure and non-polluted lake because it's away from the busy city life. The glaciers in the summer warm up a little, and a stream of water flows off of them. All of this over time created Wonder Lake. Wonder Lake is also nearby the Reflection Pond, which reflects Mt. McKinley in the water.
Braided Rivers
Big rivers like the Teklanika, Toklat, East Fork, and McKinley run together in the gravel bar, causing them to look braided. Depending on the season, the rivers will shift locations. The amount of precipitation, glacier flow, and time of day all determine the location of these rivers and how "braided" they look.
